Twin parallel screw cylinders for extrusion

We manufacture spare parts for any type of twin parallel extruders, covering all dimensions and lengths of the market ranging from Ø30 to Ø200. We provide advice to our customer on the best type of design and thermal treatment for each particular case.

Given the high price of these components, we recommend the bimetal option with interchangeable sleeves, since it offers a much higher level of performance than the nitrided steel.   

 

Due to the evolution of the materials to be processed, which use more and more additives and are further reinforced, these parts are subject to strong wear agents. Therefore, the medium-term profitability of a bimetal cylinder is particularly remarkable and its long-term profitability is spectacular.

 

 

 

Twin conical screw cylinders for extrusion

We manufacture spare parts of any size for any brands and models on the market.

Our 50 years of experience in manufacturing this type of twin conical screw cylinder endorse us in terms of quality and manufacturing requirements.

This type of cylinders are usually manufactured with nitriding steels. However, in individual cases they can be sleeved with steels that are more resistant to wear. The spare parts are less expensive in the event of subsequent replacement since they are manufactured with interchangeable sleeves.

 

 

Twin parallel modular screw cylinders

The manufacturing capacity of these modular cylinder segments ranges from Ø 30 m, to Ø 250 mm. The cylinder segments are usually manufactured with interchangeable inner sleeves. This reduces the cost of spare parts significantly when the cylinder is worn out.

The technology can be nitriding, hardening or BIMETAL, which is the most widely used.

We provide advice and design the most appropriate screw model according to your needs, or in order to solve frequent problems such as, for example, the need to reduce cycle times, improve plastification, improve life screw, reduce premature wears, removal of spots or black points caused by polymer degradation, etc.

The problem of premature wear is usually attributed to the material quality of the screw. Obviously, both facts are connected, but wear reduction is directly linked to the screw design. For that reason, if we act on the design and improve the material used, the results can be extraordinary.

Twin conical screw

We have capacity and experience in manufacturing ALL dimensions of twin conical screws existing in the international market.

Our machinery has the latest technology for manufacturing this type of screws. It can carry out perfect variable steps and a strict “GAP” control between bottom and flank of both screws.

We help solving premature wears on cylinders and screws by implementing new design concepts.

As in twin parallel screws, we can manufacture all technologies of the market in terms of quality of the manufacturing materials.

Our latest innovation has been the development of a technology, which is able to transform a used monobloc conical cylinder into a new cylinder with original measures and interchangeable inner sleeves. In this way, the sleeves can be built with high-resistance materials, so that a replacement is very cost-effective.

Check valves and end caps

 

 

We manufacture all kind of check valves according to customer quality specifications.We can provide guidance in order to improve design or materials used.

3-pieces valve in standard design, crenellated rotary valve, crenellated free rotary valve, ball valve with bronze lining, ball valve in hardened or nitrided steel, ball valve with hardened components.

 

In case of any problem such as irregular closing, inadequate maintenance of the bearing, material overheating, premature wears, adhesion of polymers, etc., we can provide guidance in order to find the best solution, always depending on the screw dimension.

 

 

 

 

Rollers

We are specialised in manufacturing all types of rollers for many different applications.

Plastic industries: solid rollers, hollow rollers, heated rollers, refrigerated rollers, mirror finish chromium plating applicable to calenders and Cast Film.

Textile industries: manufacturing of elastic rollers. Coating surfaces: wooly paper, cotton paper, raw cotton, cotton thread, gum/rubber, Stonite, Microrock, polyurethane.

Others:

Columns for injection moulding machines (construction / repair)

We manufacture all kind of injection moulding machines, with sizes up to 10.000mm in length and their appropriate diameter.

We normally start acquiring the appropriate processed steel for that application.

We manufacture the column, than we add a chromium plating to the board and apply a Tenifer® or sulfinized treatment on threads (mostly on the long thread in order to avoid seize-up of the captive nut).

There are some injection moulding machines with hardened columns by Nitriding. We can build and process them in our factory.

Broken columns are often repaired by means of joining the parts by welding until the centre and, afterwards, machining the end of the splicing area.

These repairs are frequently performed in order to run the injection machine for production while manufacturing the new column. But, interestingly, the repaired columns usually resist so long that the other three columns of the machine break before the repaired ones do it.

Bimetallic blanks

From gathering up the experience in over 40 years of manufacturing cylinders and screws, a total specialization in bimetallic barrels production has been achieved.

The entire manufacturing process is carried out in our factory, together with exhaustive controls that guarantee the high quality of the parts.

Constant investigation and development of bimetallic technology has led us to become the only company in Europe capable of casting all kinds of bimetallic alloys with a full guarantee: Iron, Iron/Chrome, Nickel, Nickel/Cobalt, all with high percentages of Tungsten Carbide for resistance against the maximum demands of abrasion and corrosion.
